The City of Indio (City) is accepting proposals from professional auditing firms to conduct an audit of five hotels annually covering a single calendar year at a time, starting with year 2017, to ensure proper reporting of Transient Occupancy Tax revenues to the City.
The intent of this RFP is to identify a qualified consultant (Consultant) that can offer the highest quality service in a cost effective manner.
The audit parameters shall be made in accordance with the City’s Transient Occupancy Tax Municipal Code Chapter 34.35 and shall provide a final report of the audit results within 30 days of completion of fieldwork. Also required is a recommendation if prior year audits are necessary for each property. Prior year audits of up to two additional years will be done on an as needed basis at the request of the City.
