The City of Cotati is centrally located in Sonoma County and only 40 miles north of San Francisco. While Cotati is Sonoma County’s smallest City, comprised of just less than two square miles and a population of about 7,500, it still provides a full range of municipal services including police protection; construction and maintenance of City streets, storm drains, bridges, and similar infrastructure type assets; park maintenance; community recreation activities; building inspections; licenses and permits; and water and wastewater services. In order to continue elevating our best practices we look forward to receiving your proposals to audit our financial statements for the three (3) fiscal years beginning with the fiscal year ending June 30, 2020, with the option of auditing its financial statements for each of the two (2) subsequent fiscal years, in addition to performing other financial audits and reviews as included in the formal request for proposal. Qualified auditors shall perform these audits in accordance with auditing standards generally accepted in the United States of America, the standards set forth for financial audits contained in U. S. General Accounting Office’s Government Auditing Standards (2018), the provisions of the Single Audit Act of 1984, as Amended in 1996, and Title 2 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance) as well as any other applicable federal, state, local or programmatic audit requirements.
