The City of Alameda and Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) are accepting proposals from CPA firms to provide audit services for our organizations in the future. We invite your firm to submit a proposal to us by Thursday, March 30 at 4:00.
The City of Alameda is in Alameda County, in the eastern portion of the San Francisco Bay Area. The City serves approximately 78,000 residents in a land area of 10.61 square miles. The City’s fiscal year begins on July 1 and ends on June 30.
Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) is the City of Alameda’s not‐for‐profit electric municipal utility. It was founded in 1887 and is the oldest municipal electric utility in California. AMP provides power to more than 34,000 customers and is governed by an independent Public Utilities Board. It has an annual budget of $65 million. The records of AMP are maintained substantially in accordance with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Uniform System of Accounts.
