The Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District (SMAQMD) announces the availability of a Request for Proposals (RFP). SMAQMD is requesting quotes and proposals from certified public accounting firms or auditors governed by Government Code Section 26909 to provide annual audits of its financial statements for fiscal years 2013/2014 and 2014/2015.
SMAQMD is the local public agency responsible for development, implementation, monitoring and enforcement of air pollution control strategies in Sacramento County, including its incorporated cities. The mission of SMAQMD is to achieve clean air goals by leading the region in protecting public health and the environment through innovative and effective programs, dedicated staff, community involvement, and public education.
The following timeline will guide this RFP process:
January 17, 2014: Release of RFP; Week of February 3, 2014: Pre-award interviews (if necessary); March 14, 2014 by 4pm: Proposals due to SMAQMD; Week of April 7, 2014: Interview of finalists (if necessary); Week of April 14, 2014: Selection of a Contractor; July 1, 2014: Execution of a Contract.
