It is the intent of City of Monterey to secure the services of a qualified firm to provide Actuarial Services for Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) in order to comply with the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) Statement No. 45 that establishes standards for the measurement, display and recognition of OPEB expenses and liabilities. The City of Monterey is seeking an actuarial consultant to prepare an update to the last actuarial valuation of its retiree healthcare plan as of June 30, 2013.
