The City of El Segundo is releasing a Request for Proposals opportunity to prepare a Financial Analysis that would assist the City in making future decisions about the city-owned golf course and properties, The Lakes at El Segundo. For nearly two years the City has been considering a development proposal that would lease the driving range portion of the operations for the purposes of the construction and operations of a TopGolf facility. A written proposal is in place between the development company, ES CenterCal,LLC., and the City of El Segundo that calls for an annual ground lease amount among other conditions for the long-term agreement.
It is the City’s intention that through a Financial Analysis of the current and future operations of The Lakes, and a comparison of those scenarios to the TopGolf proposal, a final decision can be made in the best interest of the City and its constituents.
