The City of Malibu is requesting proposals from qualified certified public accounting firms to audit its financial statements for the three fiscal years beginning with Fiscal Year 2015-2016 (ending June 30, 2016), with the option of extending the agreement for two (2) additional one-year periods. These audits are to be performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and the standards set for financial audits contained in Government Auditing Standards issued by the Comptroller General of the United States, the provisions of the Federal Single Audit Act as amended, and U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-133 Audits of States, Local Governments, and Non-Profit Organizations.
