Intent:
The Farmersville Fire Department is seeking a consultant to provide organizational analysis of the department and development of a short-term strategic plan and a 10-year Master Plan.
Project Background:
The Farmersville Fire Department currently does not have a Strategic Plan and desires the assistance of qualified professionals to produce a study to this end. This plan, to be developed, will be the starting point for determining the future path and growth of the Fire Department and help ensure its needed level of service for the community on a short and long-term basis.
The plan will assist the Department’s efforts to protect the residents of Farmersville in an efficient and cost-effective manner while providing safe and acceptable standards of cover levels. The plan will guide the future development of the department. It will act as a guide to the City Council to identify proper levels of service for Fire Protection, Fire Prevention, and support services and other fire department responsibilities. The plan will identify current and potential future funding needs to finance these services. It will identify needs for capital and operational expenses as demands for services increase.
The plan will consist of the following:
1. Strategic Plan and Goals (3-5yrs)
2. Master Plan and Goals (5-10yrs)
3. Support documentation and action plans to achieve said goals
