The City of San Mateo is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide investment advisory services for its municipal investment portfolio. The value of the portfolio on average is approximately $150 million including $45 million placed in the Local Agency Investment Fund and the San Mateo County pool. The remaining funds are invested in Money Market funds, Certificate of Deposits, U.S. Treasury Notes, Federal Agency Securities, and Corporate Medium Term Notes. Currently, the City has an investment advisory firm that has discretionary investment authority for $37 million of assets under management, with the remainder invested by our Director and Deputy Director of Finance.
